Following the wisdom of the body
toward healing, growth and wholeness
Compassionate and embodied therapy services
The body has it's own intelligence....
The language of the body is through feelings and sensations.
When we can connect with our body, understand it's language and inherent needs, we awaken to new ways of being.
The body then becomes our guide. When we turn to the body with curiosity, compassion and reverence, it shows us the way.
Our primary objective is to listen.

The Embodied Path
The Embodied Path is a trauma-informed, culturally competent therapy practice where all identities, and lived experiences are welcome. Our intention is to support you in tuning into your body’s inherent wisdom. We each have been gifted with a natural capacity to heal, grow and awaken to the truest versions of ourselves. Together we will build the skills and capacity to access this wisdom that is awaiting you.

My Intention and Approach

I believe healing happens through increased connection with ourselves and others. My approach to therapy involves being with you in all of your humanness. I strive to create a space where all of you is welcome, where you may discover, connect with and give voice to the many parts of yourself, without fear of judgment.
I believe that the process towards wholeness involves connecting with the many parts of us, reclaiming what may have been lost, denied or buried away, and realizing new and unexplored parts of ourselves. In working with me, your story, your needs, your darkest hours and brightest moments take center stage so that you may come to fully embody who you are, participate fully in life, and offer your unique gifts to the world.

I recognize that we each live in a social context, and the ideas, beliefs, influences, and expectations of those around us can shape who we are. It can determine what parts of us we may feel safe embodying and expressing, and also lead to parts that may be difficult to connect with or parts that may have felt hurt and harmed.
My intention is to support you in creating enough internal and external safety to allow these deeper parts to emerge, support greater healing and create more choice and freedom. I believe psychological health and well-being arise when we can access our own inner wisdom, connect with our higher Self, and embody innate qualities of curiosity, compassion, confidence, courage, creativity, playfulness and joy.
My role is to be a guide in steering you back home to yourself.

Official Bio

I am a licensed psychologist, prior engineer, meditator, creative and nature lover. I hold a Master’s and PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. I have worked in multiple mental health settings including university counseling centers, community mental health agencies, and private practice for over 10 years. I have also received specialized training in Internal Family Systems therapy, Somatic Experiencing and EMDR to provide trauma-informed care, and integrate my knowledge of Eastern and Western healing practices to inform my work. I have also conducted qualitative research on mindfulness meditation to understand the therapeutic benefits and underlying mechanisms of change behind ancient meditation practices. I am an avid meditator myself and believe that my own practices are essential in connecting with my own inner world to enhance my presence and attunement with clients.
